Axie Utsav 2021 is the first Indian official blockchain based play to earn esports and cultural event to be held on 25th of December,2021 in Kolkata,West Bengal. AxieUtsav is being organized by an Indian startup Metamisfits which deals with Yield Farming in the Metaverses , lending and renting of NFTs , Virtual Asset Management educational content creation consultancy and organizing Esports and events.

AxieUtsav is going to be the first and biggest Indian official Axie Infinity eSports Tournament as backed by Axie Infinity with a prize pool of 160 AXS which is nearly around 20 lakh as per this date as well as the first blockchain based event in India for the year 2021.

The active user base for AxieInfinity has grown exponentially from just over 108,000 daily active users in June to nearly 2 million daily active users today. Axie Infinity is inspired by Pokémon and plays like a regular monster-battler in which every Axie has certain stats that determine their ability in combat.The monsters or the Axies in the game are NFTs. This means an Axie you create through the game’s breeding mechanics will be, by being minted as an NFT, a unique and original digital object. This event is not only limited to Axie Infinity but it is beyond this horizon including other play to earn games and decentralised apps as well in the near future.
AxieUtsav and MetaMisfits’s mission is to break the Entry Barrier to NFTs for masses along with fighting social stigmas such as unemployment and poverty as well as spreading awareness about Blockchain ,Metaverse , Cryptocurrency and play to earn games. Registration is closed and this process began on August 25th 2021. 64 players from across India are coming to take part in this event out of which 12 are invitees and others are first come first serve with a mix of invitation and open.
